Are the mugs handmade by Mavésa Studio?

The ceramic mug itself is a high-quality blank mug sourced from a manufacturer. At Mavésa Studio, each decorative figure and design is completely handmade using polymer clay. The clay figures are sculpted, baked, and carefully attached to the mug by hand.

This process makes every Mavésa Studio mug unique.

What material are the decorations made from?

The decorative figures are made from polymer clay, a durable sculpting material that hardens permanently when baked.

Polymer clay is widely used by artists and crafters because it allows detailed sculpting while remaining lightweight and strong once cured.

How are the decorations attached to the mug?

After sculpting and baking the polymer clay figure, it is carefully attached to the mug using a strong multi-surface adhesive designed for materials such as ceramics, glass, and metal.

This adhesive is resistant to heat and designed for durable bonding.

Is the mug safe for hot beverages?

Yes. The ceramic mug itself is designed for regular use with hot beverages such as coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The decorative clay figure is attached to the exterior of the mug and does not come into contact with the drink.

Can the mug go in the microwave?

Puting a polymer clay-decorated mug in the microwave is NOT recommended because it can cause the clay to burn, release toxic fumes, and detach from the mug. 

Can the mug go in the dishwasher?

To preserve the handmade decoration, we recommend washing the mug by hand.  Dishwashers expose items to high temperatures, pressure, and detergents that could weaken the adhesive or affect the clay details over time.

Will the decoration fall off?

When properly cared for, the decoration is designed to remain securely attached.

To maintain the mug's longevity, we recommend:
• Hand washing
• Avoiding microwaves
• Avoiding prolonged soaking in hot water

Are all mugs exactly identical?

No. Each mug is handmade individually, which means small variations may occur. These differences are part of the handmade process and ensure that every Mavésa Studio piece is truly one-of-a-kind.

What if my mug arrives damaged?

We take great care to package each mug securely to protect the handmade decoration during shipping.

However, if your mug arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include a photo of the item and packaging. We will gladly work with you to resolve the issue.

Will my mug look exactly like the photos?

Each Mavésa Studio mug is individually handmade, which means small variations may occur. These differences are a natural part of handmade craftsmanship and make every piece unique.

We always aim to match the design shown in the photos as closely as possible.

Can I send this as a gift?

Yes! Our mugs are perfect for gifting. Each mug is carefully packaged to arrive safely and beautifully.

You can ship directly to the recipient if you are sending it as a gift.

Can I personalize the mug with a name?

Yes! Many of our mugs can be customized with a name or special detail. Simply enter the personalization information when placing your order.

If you have a special request, feel free to contact us and we will do our best to accommodate it.

How long does it take to prepare an order?

Because each mug is handmade, orders typically require 3-5 business days for preparation before shipping.

During busy seasons or holidays, preparation time may be slightly longer.

Do you accept returns?

Because many items are personalized and handmade, we generally do not accept returns.

However, if your item arrives damaged or there is a problem with your order, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will work with you to resolve the issue.
